Lotus Provides Update on Ogden Construction Site Fire - Citywalk Property
Ogden, Utah – January 29, 2025 – Lotus Company acknowledges the recent fire that occurred at its construction site located at 255 22nd St. in downtown Ogden. We are relieved to report that no injuries have been sustained as a result of this incident.
The fire, which broke out on Saturday, January 27, quickly engulfed the five-story, wood-framed apartment building under construction. Thanks to the immediate and diligent response of the Ogden Fire Department, the blaze was contained despite high winds that posed significant challenges.
After a thorough investigation, authorities have determined that the fire was caused by arson committed by a juvenile. We are deeply grateful for the rapid efforts of the Ogden Fire Department, Ogden Police Department, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in identifying the cause of the fire so quickly. Their dedication, professionalism, and tireless work have been instrumental in bringing clarity to this situation, and we extend our sincere appreciation for their unwavering support.

Additionally, nearby buildings, including the DaVinci Academy and the IRS building, sustained minor damage due to wind-driven embers. Lotus Company is in contact with all affected parties and is committed to assisting in recovery efforts as needed.
